AI30 Builder's Digest - Week #6
Your weekly dose of AI agent innovations
Hey it’s George from AI30 👋
Builder's Digest Weekly Round-Up is here!
Last week, I saw a wave of new players jump into the AI agent space, with a flood of new libraries and frameworks released. It’s clearly a hype cycle, but this one’s different. The hype is real.
AI agents are going to change everything. No more repetitive tasks. No more manual data classification. We were never meant to spend 8 hours in Google Sheets sorting rows or mindlessly clicking buttons all day. We're social, creative beings and it's finally time for that creativity to take the lead.
⚡ TL;DR (This Week in AI Agents)
Mozilla Foundation, NVIDIA, Microsoft, and others are jumping into the AI revolution. That’s a strong signal. We’re sitting right at the heart of something big.
🔥 Top Stories
Nvidia join to AI Agent Race 🏇
Nvidia has launched a new platform called NeMo microservices, enabling businesses to build their own AI agents or “AI teammates” using open-source models, without being locked into a specific cloud provider. This move makes it easier for companies to deploy autonomous agents tailored to their needs, and firmly positions Nvidia as a serious player in the fast-moving AI agent space.
Professors Staffed a Fake Company with AI Agents 🤯
Researchers at Carnegie Mellon University ran a bold experiment where they staffed a simulated software company entirely with AI agents from leading tech firms, assigning them typical workplace tasks. The results were overwhelmingly poor, with even the best AI model completing only 24% of its assignments, highlighting that current AI agents lack the common sense, social skills, and adaptability needed to replace human workers in complex roles anytime soon. (Crazy experiment!)
📚 Resources You Can't Miss
📃 Agno: Lightweight Library for Building Agent. Agno is a minimal AI agent library for Python that lets you build basic agents with just a few lines of code. It’s a great starting point if you want something simple and fast to experiment with.
📃 Build your First AI Agent with LangChain - Creating your first AI agent doesn’t need to be complex. Start with a basic setup: an agent that can call tools via an LLM. That’s it. Think of it like your first “Hello World” in programming. Start small, then layer in complexity as you go.
📃 CrewAI has built-in YouTube Video RAG search - Forget clunky plugins. CrewAI supports YouTube video summarization out of the box using RAG. Many “AI tools” you see today are just wrappers over features like this. Joao, the founder of CrewAI, shows how it works in this demo.
📃 Automating Instagram Posts with AI Agents - One of the most practical CrewAI demos yet: a complete AI-powered system that generates Instagram posts. This is real-world content generation in action. From single execution, to an idea, and to a post.
📃 Mozilla Foundation Launches any-agent - Mozilla Foundation, the team behind Firefox is entering the agentic ecosystem with any-agent, a unified Python library that connects multiple agentic frameworks through a single interface. It currently supports LangChain, LlamaIndex, Google ADK, OpenAI Agents SDK, and more.
💡 My Take
The majority of companies will soon pour resources into AI agent development and automating as many daily tasks as possible. This shift will trigger massive layoffs, but also fuel the rise of solopreneurs and small teams building “GPT wrappers” that generate millions.
Here’s the wild part: many of these products are built on top of average system prompts, some of which have even been leaked. It’s not rocket science. It’s iteration, persistence, and a clear vision that wins.
This week, I’m hosting an exclusive live stream for AI30 community members. We’ll dive deep into CrewAI and build two real AI agent systems together, 🔴 live. I’ll share my screen, write and walk you through the code step by step, and answer your questions as we go.
After the session, I’ll package everything into a premium guide and publish it on the AI30 platform for members to access anytime.
Community Pricing Update: Last Chance for $99 Lifetime Access
Starting May 1st, the price to join the community will increase to $297 for Lifetime Access.
If you're serious about mastering AI agent development and becoming an AI engineer, this is your last chance today to lock in a lifetime spot for $99.
📣 Let’s Stay Connected
Have a great day!
